Whenever you export out of Thailand to Australia under the Asean FREE trade agreement you must have a current Certificate of Origin (C/O) whereby the Ministry of Commerce has authorized the Dept of Foreign Trade or DFT to provide such a certification service for goods going to Australia. You cannot use a Chamber of Commerce Cert of origin. You also need a packing list of what youre sending; invoices, bills of lading (B/L), price list, certificate of free sales, and other documents as requested. To Australia however you must have the CO from the Dept of Foreign Affairs (DFT) otherwise your goods will be sent back. The Chamber of Commerce is a private organisation & not government so they do not have the means to inspect the origin of the goods you buy. All factories sending via DFT must be affiliated to the DFT and inspected to prevent copies being made by these factories.

SHIPPING GARMENTS TO AUSTRALIA
The General duty rate for Knitted T Shirts is presently 10%
Under the ASEAN- Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) for which Thailand entered into on the 12th March 2010, the following duty rate may apply (depending upon compliance with the terms of the agreement)
For Knitted T Shirts of Cotton (tariff classification 6109.10.00)- Free
For Knitted T Shirts of other textile materials (tariff classification)- 5%
A certificate of origin is required. An origin certificate is not acceptable from the Chamber of Commerce. The Thailand Dept of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce is accepted as an issuing authority.
The following is a link to the Aust Customs web page regarding the AANZFTA
http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page6076.asp
This page sets out information for complying with the requirements & includes information regarding the Certificate of Origin & Issuing Authorities/Bodies
If you are exporting T shirts to Australia from Malaysia / Thailand and you wish to use the ASEAN free trade agreement to get duty free entry into Australia.the certificate of origin is to be authorised by one of the ministry of international trade and industry offices but you can still use cert of origin authorised by the chamber of commerce only, & would attract developing countries duty rate of 10% so you can still use CO Cert of origin from the Chamber of Commerce.
WE SELL STORAGE CONTAINERS IN BANGKOK AS ABOVE
SENDING GOODS OUT OF THAILAND:
When asking us for a quotation and you wish to send personal items please tell us exactly what you are shipping. Itemize all articles so we can tell you if you need fumigation, clearance from Customs and Fine Arts depts etc. We will not quote you if you do not list all items you wish to ship
Try to work out how many cubic metres you need to ship.
Min 1cbm and this means 1m x1m x1m.
BUDDHA HEADS OR STATUES:
Buddha heads are very sentitive for Thais to send so be aware as many shippers will not ship because of one item.
CLEARING YOUR GOODS BACK HOME:
Sometimes it is easier to have a clearing agent to clear your goods and pay the duties for your goods coming in. They will even truck to your door but they will handle your full shipment. They will save you the hassles etc of getting the goods direct to you thru customs and Agriculture depts. You can contact these agents in your country but have a look at our agents, See our worldwide customs clearing agents [ Customs clearing agents ]. YOUR OWN CLEARING AGENT: We can NOTIFY your clearing agent if you nominate one to accept your goods at the destination but remember our job is finished when we load the goods on board FOB or to the port of entry. It is then your responsibility once it reaches the destination port on the BIL (Bill of lading)
